A police crime investigation officer was killed on Saturday night in a Taliban attack in Kapisa, said a police spokesman.

Shayeq Shoresh, a spokesman for the provincial police chief, said the incident occurred in Tagab district.

According to Shoresh, four other police were also killed in the attack and seven police were wounded, Shoresh added.

No group claimed has responsibility for the attack.
